About Warranty Direct
Warranty Direct was the first, and remains the only, UK direct personal Warranty Company.
When the company was established in 1997 their mission was to "offer warranties that are worth the paper they are written on and to make buying warranties quicker and simpler for the consumer" - you. Warranty Direct firmly believe they have achieved this mission and so do their customers. (see below)

Today - Warranty Direct don't just sell you the warranty, they handle the claim as well, which means that they stand by what they say. With no hidden get out clauses, Warranty Direct, underwritten at Lloyd's of London, is the only company that offers you plain and honest cover (as approved by the Plain English Campaign).

Warranty Direct eliminates the middleman (normally the dealer) and passes the savings on directly to you.

Their business depends on your recommendation, so they will be doing everything within their power to ensure that you are delighted. Other warranty companies are more interested in minimising the costs that their dealer partner might incur as a result of your claim - with Warranty Direct this never happens. They do not deal with dealers and their responsibility is solely to you. Most warranty companies also use the hapless garage service receptionist as their first line of defense - better for that person to give you the bad news of a rejected claim. Warranty Direct are different, in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with their decision, or if any clarification is required, you have full access to their engineers.

Buy direct from the Warranty Company
Be confident knowing that you'll be dealing directly with the people settling your claim. Warranty Direct don't hide behind third parties!

Cut out the middleman
If you buy your warranty from a dealer or another introducer, they'll be taking a cut from your premium. Don't get ripped off!

Realistic claim limits
With Warranty Direct's top motor cover it's the higher of £5,000 or the value of your car, per claim or in total per year. With other motor policies it's whichever is the lower of £5,000 or car value.

Cover against damage caused by wear and tear
Inferior motor cover from others will feature a wear & tear exclusion clause to reduce claims payments. Don't get caught out!

Rolling monthly or fixed term policies
Policies from 3 months cover to 3 years. more

Damage caused by non-insured parts included
If an uninsured part fails and damages or breaks an insured part, then Warranty Direct will pay the costs attributed to the repair or replacement of the insured part as per any other claim. Other warranty companies refuse to settle such claims. Be wary!

No limit on labour rates
With your Warranty Direct policy you can take your car to either an independent garage or a franchise dealer for repairs - the price you pay for your cover will vary according to your preference.

14 day money back guarantee
If you are unhappy with anything, you have 14 days to cancel your policy and Warranty Direct will refund all premiums paid, subject to the non-use of our services and no claims being made.

Warranty Direct Benefits

Parts and labour covered
Warranty Direct covers the cost of mechanical and electrical failure. Wear and tear to a covered part and damage to an insured part caused by an uninsured part is also covered. Others exclude such cover so beware inferior imitations! For comparison, Warranty Direct estimate these two items to be worth 40% of your premium.

Breakdown Recovery
Policy includes up to a maximum contribution of £150 toward recovery cost if breakdown is a result of failure of an insured part and if you do not have cover elsewhere. If you prefer, Motoreasy Recovery or Recovery Plus can also be purchased from us at unbeatable prices.

Car hire
Policy includes up to a maximum contribution of £30 per day for up to 7 days car hire if your car cannot be fixed in first 24 hours if a breakdown is a result of failure of an insured part and if you do not have cover elsewhere.

Emergency travel
Policy includes up to a maximum of £25 towards the cost of alternative travel (coach, train etc.) if your car cannot be fixed in first 24 hours and breakdown is a result of failure of an insured part and if you do not have cover elsewhere.

Overnight Accommodation
Policy includes up to a maximum of £100 towards the cost of overnight accommodation if your car cannot be fixed in first 24 hours and breakdown is a result of failure of an insured part and if you do not have cover elsewhere.

Instant claims authority
Your selected garage will call us for immediate claim authorisation.

Direct settlement with garage
If you select a member of our approved network for repairs Warranty Direct will settle agreed payments with the garage. Otherwise, Warranty Direct will settle with you directly.

Your choice of garage for servicing and repairs
State when buying whether you want to take your car to a network garage or a franchised dealer/non-network garage for future repairs. Warranty Direct's experience of many different types of garage leads them to recommend independents for all our work - but the choice is yours.

Failure of timing belts, when failure is within manufacturer's guidelines
As long as you have, or have had, your timing belt changed at the recommended interval failure of the belt and resulting damage is covered.
