Car Clubs

Car clubs and enthusiast websites exists firstly for the benefit of a group of people who share the same intrest - even passion - for a particular make of car. But their value goes beyond this as they provide value to motorists and motoring in general through lobby groups, etc. They provide value to motor manufacturers by providing feedback and insight to help the car manufacturer improve its products and services. They also provide a service to society in general through the preservation of social and industrial history and tradition.

Featured Club is the British Mini Club

Originally called the West Midlands Lotus Drivers Club, the West Midlands tag was dropped when the club really took off and now covers the whole of the UK with members in Japan, America, Italy and Germany.
The Lotus Drivers Club is run entirely by members who are enthusiastic volunteers who give their time to arrange the clubs events and meetings for the benefit of like-minded enthusiasts who own Lotus cars.
Their West Midlands branch meets on the second Thursday of every month at the Arrow Mill hotel in Alcester. Contact Barbara Clarke at ldcmidlandsarea@supanet.com for information.

www.MG-Rover.org
Operated from Walsall but covering the entire world, MG-Rover.org is a website forum for owners and enthusiasts of MG and Rover products. The members organise rallies, share tips and advice, generally support each other and act as advocates for Rover and MG products. The site is free but paid membership brings useful benefits and costs only a few pounds. Open to anyone interested in Rover's and MG's - you dont have to own one to join, but it helps.

Note: MG-Rover.org provided the means by which former MG Rover employees kept in touch and supported each other after the company folded. It still does one year on.
